Today's picture is of the compensation gauge which used to measure the water running into the river Etherow. When the reservoirs were built the downstream mill owners insisted on a certain flow and so the gauge proved this.

Day 8 - 8th January
Missed a day oh well. Today I am travelling to visit the house in Tintwistle which we call affectionately Knob View. It was going to be a family weekend away but Charlie had other plans (which is OK).
So instead I aim to see my dad which I did not do over the holiday's (naughty AJ) and have a pint or two with my oldest friend Ian.
To start, my favourite view of the clock tower at Nottingham station.
The train journey from Sheffield to Manchester is brill on a clear bright day like today. The vistas keep opening up and area around Edale always makes me want to move house.
An easy trip and then to see my dad which was great. Then to KV.

Day 6 - 6th January 2016
A shopping trip for light bulbs for Knob View. The house has whatever bulbs we had to hand so we are going for snazzy new LED bulbs. Should outlive me!

Day 4 - 4th January 2016
A lot of hard work done by the team at Littlewomen.com today and yesterday. Here are the first 4 bags ready to go and there may be another couple before we are done today. Millie the wonder dog is helping as best she can :)

Day 3 - 3rd January 2016
Day 3 and a Sunday, so what did I do? I went into work for 5 hours... otherwise there would be a lot of very disappointed women out there :)
So I deserve a small glass of Beaujolais Villages - George Duboef of course. Now all I need a morsel of cheese and my day will be complete.

Day 2 - 2nd January 2016
Day 2 and Caroline's parents are about to go back to London. It was really lovely to see them again. If Millie looks anxious, it is just that she doesn't know where her next biscuit treat might be coming from...

Day 1 - 1st January 2016
Hi, this is the start of my 365 day photo challenge. The idea is to post one picture a day for every day of the year. I might cheat and not post every day in real time and maybe even use pictures from another day - but this is MY blog so MY rules.
So I have already cheated and it is only Day 1 - This is a piccy from my Christmas in Antigua - I just love this photo, so that is the justification - remember MY rules.
We spent half a day fishing inshore and Caroline and Charlie caught LOTS of small fish. I caught this tiny one, a small stone and a starfish. Caroline caught the biggest fish and a huge stone. Lovely day,
